.: watching softball?…

April 19th, 2008 by Amanda Weaver

Today Ryland discovered the joys of dirt. It was a beautiful day, and was the first time since last summer that Ryland has really been able to play outside. We went to a softball field to watch Ryan play with the Allen team in a tournament. Last year when we went to this tournament Ryland sat in my lap and the stroller the whole time. He wasn’t able to walk yet. But today… he was all over. I only saw Ryan bat once. The rest of my time was spent running around being the “border patrol” for my very active son. Who with his friend Carson kicked the soccer ball, jumped in a pile of leaves, and covered himself in dirt. It was a lot of fun watching Rylz in full boy mode!

Chico and Carson were so covered in that sand… it was greatness… and such a grand distraction to see my son tossing sand in the air and laughing beside his friend while I played first base about 25 feet away.

    That’s my boy!
